Coach Earnest Jared and Salvation Army
League President Ken Salisbury,Md.- Berlin Dolphins Jared King topped
off a great season taking home the
2009 Salvation Army Football MVP. Though
Jared only played one season for the
Dolphins he made quite an impression on
his coach. According to coach Ernest
Shockley the Dolphins had a" potent
three back attack". Tayevon Mills, Andrew
Borradale joined Jared in what he called
"The best backfield we have ever
had in Berlin." Jared was our fullback, our go to guy when we need
positive yardage. He ran with a lot of
power to go with his great vision and
speed. He led the team in rushing and
touchdowns. A lot of our backs rushing
success came from the blocking of our
offensive line, led by Chase Samms." For More Information about joining the

The Berlin Dolphins announced
Fall sign-ups as on-going today. Interested players can contact Coach

(410) 641-0948 to join the Salvation Army Youth Football League.
The League will
feature 2 age levels ages 7-10 and ages 11-13. This league
will play a total of 8 games and compete against teams from Local
Bayside and Cape Henolopen Teams. So if you are interested in playing some football or

The 2010 Mason Dixon Dolphins of the Salvation Army Red Shield Youth Football League are
still looking for a "A Few Good Kids" to join
this areas best youth football team. Your child can play
against future Bayside Conference Opponents!
Both Berlin Dolphin teams play in the local " Red
Shield" Salvation Army Youth Football League. Teams
are based on ages and weight restrictions. Practices are
held throughout the season at Showell Park and home games
played at Buckingham Elementary School Field in Berlin. Limited
Roster space is currently still available & new registration is
still on-going. Cost to play is $75.00 Berlin Dolphin Cadets
ages 7-10 max. weight 125lbs. and Berlin Dolphin Juniors Ages
11-13 max weight 165lbs . Head Coach Ron Birely of the Cadet
Dolphins has over 31 years coaching experience with a coaching
staff of over 20 years experience. Meanwhile the Junior Dolphins
are led by Stephen Decatur legend Head Coach Ernest Shockley. To

“Our organization prides itself with teaching fundamentals first!” Often
parents enjoy the fact that their child will be playing against other
teams and future star players from the Bay Side Conference in the
Salvation Army Football League.
Cadet Head Coach Ron Birely has over
30 years experience
developing young boys into fine football players and have won multiple
championships along the way.
Junior Head Coach Earnest Shockley, known
in this area as a Former
Division I Standout at Delaware State, and
Stephen Decatur High School
All Bayside Conference player. Juniors’ Head Coach Shockley, in
just two years has turned our junior program into one of the top teams
in the league. Coach Shockley prides himself into taking his college
experience and teaching these kids what they need to know to prepare for
their High School Football Career.
Current assistant coaches for both teams have numerous years experience
teaching football to kids. Volunteer coaches are always needed.
